She knew the risk. The fact that death could come if she loved him, but her human state is only so frail. He was the only person who ever looked at her with glimmering eyes. She always cursed the skies and wondering why it had to be him. Why not the angel? Or the prophet? Why was it Lucifer's vessel? And why is it so hard to stay away from him? It should've been easy. Easy to decline him with his puppy brown eyes and angel like grin. Easy to ignore his extensive knowledge on almost every subject. Easy to ignore the kindness he gave everyone. As far as it goes, she found the only thing that was easy was falling in love with him
