Janel and Audrey are best friends. They live in a small town, called Average Wadge, on the coast of Western Australia. Average Wadge has a very unusual way of determining the strong from the weak. Every year the government holds a competition called The Games. The school chooses the weakest girl and boy and strongest boy and girl from each year to compete. However the rules have changed, there is only one winner and no one will live to see it.
