Cassidy Whales accidentally burned her kitchen down. Her parents immediately called it pyromania, sending her off to endless psychiatrists to fix their broken daughter. Caught between trying to please her parents by lying and wanting to be set free of her thoughts by speaking them out loud, she spends more and more time thinking of the one cause of it all: fire.
As she becomes increasingly addicted to a dancing flame, she finds out fire may like her as much as she likes it.
