In the English town of Los Angeles holds a secret. Andrew Grey has the perfect life working as a detective in the city and dancing with his intelligent girlfriend, Susanne Walters. However, when he finds an enchanted gun in his cellar, he begins to realise that things are not quite as they seem in the Grey family. An accident leaves Andrew with some startling questions about his past, and he sets off to sleepy Las Vegas to find some answers. At first the people of Las Vegas are stable and gentle. He is intrigued by the curiously brave teacher, Katy Wilson. However, after she introduces him to hard alcohol, Andrew slowly finds himself drawn into a web of fraud, murder and perhaps, even kidnap. Can Andrew resist the charms of Katy Wilson and uncover the secret of the enchanted gun before it's too late, or will his death become yet another Las Vegas legend?

Water is the reason her sister is dead, and the reason she almost died. Hope can't remember what happened the night of the tragedy, but everyone assures her she couldn't have done anything to save her sister. Juliet Price has attended Redwood High since the beginning of sophomore year, but she's never spoken to Hope, Juliet doesn't fit in with her classmates as she wasn't born rich and she didn't grow up getting everything she wanted. The only reason Juliet is at the exclusive private school is because she's living with her wealthy aunt and uncle. Juliet knows what happened to Eleanor Flynn, most of the world does. The Flynn family are very wealthy and very famous. Even though Juliet and Hope have never spoken, Juliet can tell that Hope is acting weird and she doesn't think it's entirely because Eleanor is dead. When Juliet and Hope are brought together through a class project, Juliet starts to realize that Hope won't be able to start moving on unless she finds out what happened the night her sister died, and why she can't remember it. When the two start investigating, they realize that the truth is pointing to something dark. Almost everyone attending Redwood has secrets, and they'll do what it takes to keep them private. When the truth starts to come out, Hope is left to wonder if she remembers the dreadful night and finds out she had something to do with it, will she ever forgive herself?
