Lucas' mom died due to sickness so he and his dad needed to go away for a while to forget about the pain. They went to another town for the summer. Lucas then meets Caroline, from their parents being friends in high school and College. The two begin to have a close bond becoming best friends, but when the summer is over Lucas has to leave Caroline. Lucas promised Caroline something if they meet again in the future. When he comes back 8 years later will their friendship still be the same?
