Caitlin Merlyn. She's the youngest Merlyn. People may say she's had an easy life but that definitely isn't the case. When her mom was murdered in the Glades Caitlin didn't think things could get worse. Then her father left. While her father left Caitlin and Tommy alone to deal with their mom's death the siblings looked to the Queens for help. When their father returns Caitlin has no interest in repairing things with the man. The damage was done. 

Years pass and Caitlin has changed. And not in a good way. She's developed an addiction to drugs, alcohol, partying, and sex. Her brother attempts to get her to quit but there's no quitting for this damaged girl. Her father asks Robert Queen, the man who has been like a father to the young girl, to talk to her. Robert accepts and invites Caitlin to come on The Queen's Gambit. She immediately accepts. Her father tries to get her to change her mind but she doesn't listen. Caitlin leaves on The Queen's Gambit with Robert and Oliver Queen, not realizing the mistake she's made.

When The Queen's Gambit sinks Caitlin is stranded on Lian Yu. Will she be reunited with her friends? And how will the island change her? Will she still be the party girl when she comes home? Or will she come home a monster? Can she successfully live her life? Or will it all crumble in front of her?

On the night of March 18th, 2000, Barry came down stairs for to see what the commotion he heard had been. What he had seen was his mother surrounded by red and yellow lightning. He was born in the illustrious family of the Queen's, and he grew up with his best friends, Tommy Merlyn and Laurel Lance. Oliver had a little sister named Thea when he was 6, Oliver is 15 when Barry's mother is murdered. 2 years later, Oliver decides to go with his father Robert Queen on a business trip to China. They set out on the Quen family yacht, the Queens Gambit. Through a work of fate, Oliver and Barry end up on Lian Yu together, 5 years ahead of schedule for when Oliver was supposed to end up on the island. How will things differ and be the same during those 5 years? What will it be like when they come back to "civilization". Read on to find out.
