{Just a cliche girlxgirl romance story about two friends that fall in love} - Carmen Jay is the pretty average 18 year old, that lives in Atlanta Georgia with her mom. Carmen was not the it girl in her school, but she was some what popular. She has spent every summer since her parents split up when she was 5 in Miami Florida with her dad. She loves it in Miami, she loves to surf and spending most of the time at the beach. Miami is also where her life long best friend Mia Jackson lives. Mia and Carmen met one summer at a company picnic their fathers both had to attend. Carmen has just graduated high school and is beyond ready for her summer with Mia and her dad. Her dad has paid for a senior trip on a cruise to the Bahamas for just her and Mia and to say she is excited is an understatement. She has missed Mia so much and can not wait to see her best friend. They left on a bad note last summer because Mia had a new boyfriend and she didn't spend hardly anytime with Carmen. Carmen felt so many feelings last summer and she found out quickly what those feelings were from when she found James (the boyfriend) on top of Mia in a heated make out in the living room the day Carmen left to go back home. -We all know those feelings, lets see if Carmen acts on them. Will James come in between them for good? Will Mia act the way she did the summer before? What will happen when it is just Carmen and Mia for two weeks on a cruise alone.

Do we truly know those we consider as our family? This is the last year before the beginning of the rest of Cara and Mia lives! Mia Carter still has one more year to spend on Angel Island before leaving, with her best friend, for Montreal to pursue their dream careers. The only problem is that she has to hold on without murdering her nemesis: Austin Coopler. At least, that's what she thought before Cara suddenly vanishes on the evening of the first day of school. No news, no leads, and even stranger, neither the police nor her family seem to care. But Mia is convinced that this disappearance is not a simple runaway case. Caught up in an investigation that goes beyond a mere disappearance, she has no choice but to cooperate with her archenemy and a group of friends who have known each other since childhood. TW - sensitive topics This story contains a lot of references to addiction (alcohol and drugs), and as the chapters progress, they will become more serious. Furthermore, the main character (Mia) suffers from diagnosed chronic anxiety, which I have portrayed to the best of my own experience. All characters, places, and events are fictional (products of my imagination only). Protected story.
