I stood in the middle of the clearing and took in my surroundings. The thick forest air filled my lungs, nearly suffocating me as I looked up to see a sky of which I knew to be black at this hour, but I could not see due to the heavy overlying branches.
I wanted to scream, plead to the heavens for help, and beg for the mercy of nature; but I knew my desperation to be no help at all. I sunk down into the mossy forest floor and drifted away to a state unaware of my actual physical location.
     That's when she walked through.
I thought she was an angel. Her long and thick brunette locks paired with her tall and slim physique led me to believe she was a fabrication of my imagination. Her simple brown leather jacket over her sheer maroon shirt and dark wash jean added to my original thought that she was a part of the beautiful but merciless Mother Nature herself.
Then she touched me. She picked me up over her shoulder as if my 180 pound build was no more than a piece of paper.
As we traveled at the speed of light with no more than her long legs carrying us, I was astonished, but it was not enough to break my daze. The hours of wondering had worn me to nothing and the pain in my forearm numbed not only my body, but my brain as well.
Finally, I closed my eyes and let it be.

Leandor told me staring patiently for me to move. I brought my knees up to my chest and hugged them lightly. "Then go. No ones stopping you." I reminded him. He growled and went to grab me. I raised an eyebrow and somehow it stopped him. I don't know why but it did. Not only that but everyone seemed to stiffen as well. "Are you testing my patience?" He asked with a menacing undertone to his voice. "Well seeing as you'd fail any test I give you, then yes I'm testing your patience." I replied sarcastically. He growled at me and pulled me to my feet in one motion. I strained to keep my composure. Two angry wolves is something to reckon with especially one being an alpha. "Are you calling me stupid?" "Well I'm definitely not calling you smart, now am I?" I smirked crossing my arms. Cover by: SilverAmy Copyright 2014 Completed 2019

"Are you coming to bed firefly?" He says to me laying his hands over my waist joining me in looking over the city. "I want to look out for a little longer if that is alright?" I mumble hoping that he heard me anyways, I wasn't ready to walk into that bedroom, and I don't think I ever would be. "Of course, I'll be getting ready for bed, come in whenever you are ready." He says confidently and walks away leaving my waist cold something for which I am grateful. Especially when my mind burns with other more dangerous thoughts. The warmth that forever lingers in the air, never burning the skin, but always reminding about what is around us. I force air into my lungs feeling the unexpected warmth fill me. He stands in the room watching me even though he said he was getting ready for bed. He is worried about me, about me jumping. I have contemplated it I will admit, but he would stop me before I fell even two feet. I was stuck, and no one could save me. Not even myself, my fucking weak self. His presence is demanding no matter where we are, but right now I could sense everything about him, and I try to suppress the unwanted feelings that curl right under my skin. "Firefly? About done?" He calls out and I release my hand from the guard rail not realizing that as I looked at the lights that covered the shining city with the falling fire in the background that my subconscious was thinking about how nice it would be... how relieving it would be... to just fall. True freedom. I take a step back and wrap my hands together turning around to a fully clothed unchanged man and nod once. I could see the fear in his eyes that I would, he knows if he gave me the chance... I wasn't ready for this, but I had to survive. No matter what. Highest Ranks: #17 In Romance #5 in Soulmates

She collapses down in front of me and runs her hands along my shoulders and down my arms. I close my eyes as she lifts my shirt over my head. "I can hear your heart racing," she whispers. I roll my head back as her lips press into my throat. I'm becoming so hot that it feels like I'm in transition. I run my hands beneath her shirt and up her back, pushing her closer into my throat. "Any requests?" she says. "Be gentle with me." "Really?" I smile before I grip the ends of her shirt and I tear it in half, all the way up her spine and all the way down the middle of her torso. It makes her gasp. "No," I say. ------------ Since meeting her mysterious saviour deep in the woods, ten things started to become clear. 1) Irresistible British men didn't just exist across the world. 2) Survival was a lot more complicated than just looking for water. 3) They were bonded together in a way that didn't make sense. 4) Her life, which was filled with so much human suffering, finally had some faint glimmer of hope. 5) She should have known that humans don't sleep walk every damn night. 6) The man ate animals raw and kept a mysterious, giant wolf as a pet. 7) Hunters will never stop looking for her. 8) She doesn't care. 9) Their desires burn for each other and it's out of their control. 10) Werewolves are real. This is Devon and Thorn's story. WARNING: Mature content. Sexual assault, attempted rape and violence. There is no possessiveness or abuse in this story between the love interests. "Don't even think about it." I stood frozen in place as he said those words from behind me, which sent shivers down my spine. The rain started running down my face as I started thinking of a way out of here. My body trembled in fear knowing that he could easily hurt me. I'm not strong against someone like him Thoughts raced through my mind as I tried to think of a way to get away from him. But there was nothing but endless trees around me. I blinked away the water running into my eyes due to the rain. My thoughts were disturbed when he suddenly spun me around to face him, his face just inches away from mine. "P-Please don't hurt m-me." I stuttered out. I tried to sound brave and not let my fear show, but my mouth betrayed me. His golden red eyes flickered with a hint of pain for a moment then back to a cold stare, "I'd never hurt you, never put you in harm's way and I'm never letting him take you from me, you're mine." He said in a deep low voice, almost a growl, and his eyes seemed to have gotten darker. 'What the hell is that supposed to mean?!' I tried taking a step back but his grip on my arm tightened. It hurt. "L-let me go, you, you're hurting me!" I looked up at him scared, his eyes were now completely dark, and the next thing I noticed were pointed teeth poking out from his lips. I screamed and pushed at him but he didn't budge. I then raised my knee and kneed him between the legs with all my force, and he dropped like a rock, holding his groin. Run. I took my chance. And ran. ~~~ Nora Brown, a normal adult, living a normal life. Moving away from home to start fresh and meet new people. Just going where life takes her.
