Jolene gasped for breath as the thick black smoke surrounded her, making her starting to choke. This all was new to her, and she didn't like it one bit. She heard a faint dark chuckle, one that made her skin go pale, and her heart flutter at the same time. This was not normal. Far from it, actually. He gave her the worst of nightmares, yet made her feel the safest she had felt in a long while. She was intoxicated.
"What are you?" She asked, her voice raspy and thick. A tattooed hand emerged from the smoke and traced the length of her arm. She felt a spark of electricity and shivered.
"Your past. Your present. Your future......" The spine-chilling yet drugging voice whispered. The smoke circled her, and she felt a new surge of power course through her veins. It wasn't suffocating her anymore. She lifted her arms as the smoke entwined them. Her eyes closed automatically and she could feel something she had never experienced before. A new kind of energy, the sense of something so dangerous yet powerful at the same time.
"Come." The deep voice said behind her, and she whisked her head around. Her heart skipped a beat. So this was him. At least a foot taller than her, he held out a palm. His inky black hair was spiked up naturally, and she could barely make out his features, due to the shadows casted upon his face. His eyes were the only thing that illuminated the darkness surrounding him; the orbs of burning fire. This entity screamed danger.
Yet she gave in, and connected her palm to his, aware that the damage was already done.
It was too late to turn back now.
