When four teenagers decide to spend their winter break up in the remote highlands of Scotland, it seems like a dream trip. The chance to do what they want, when they want, away from the pressures of real life. However, the innocent games they play abruptly come to an end once darkness falls. They decide to camp for the night in an abandoned woodsman's cabin, blissfully unaware of the horror rapidly approaching.

Across the hills mist rapidly gathers, closing in on the group with unnatural speed. But this is no natural weather event. Those caught up in its white embrace are forever altered. Driven forward with malevolent intent, the mist soon envelops the cabin and the dream trip rapidly turns into a nightmare.

Given respite only in the short hours of daylight, the group must survive against a force that cannot be defeated or bargained with. All they can do is hope. But with limited time and escalating tensions, can they escape the corrupting evil at the heart of the mist?

In the midst of this nightmare, one question is at the forefront of everyone's mind...

Who can they trust?
