Hedwig is naturally curious, as a child, and he's petulant and angry that no one will tell him anything. They're either too busy or not willing to give a kid the "talk". So Hedwig goes to someone who always told him what he wanted, provided he was polite enough. Miss Special tells him everything he wants to know.
