A SEA BETWEEN
Alternate HARRY POTTER UNIVERSE around 1900-ish or bit earlier. To stop the bloodshed between two neighbouring countries, divided by a sea in between, Mara Ravenclaw of Leidal is forcibly married off to the arrogant, spoiled and cruel prince of Astella, Draco Malfoy. Mara and Draco must uphold a two-year waiting period for they can divorce and negotiations for independence for her country, Leidal are finished. Out of a sense of duty she complies but Draco is a horrible husband to Mara until things change... Mara falls in love for him but not long after she sees Draco kissing someone and Mara leaves Astella to go back to Leidal. Unfortunately, Mara can't escape Draco for long because she receives an invitation to his twin brother's wedding, Dante Malfoy. The story begins with the wedding and goes back in time to the 1 year or so PRIOR Dante's wedding and how Draco and Mara slowly but surely fall in love. For Tom Felton who was brilliant as Draco Malfoy. The story is mine but the HP characters & Ravenclaw name belong to JK Rowling of course. Do not SUE ME JK. I am poor. Poor I tell you. IMPORTANT NOTICE THIS STARTED OUT as Draco Malfoy x Y/N and then I changed it because writing like this aggravated me to no end. How the world works
How does the world work? Well, some people are strong, powerful, smart, or manipulative. Some are even all 4! People who can be on top stay on top and they use their gifts to get them there. But some people aren't strong. Some people are weak. Some people are naive or are less than smart. And some, well some are all 4. These people are at the mercy of the world and rarely, if ever, get even a chance to climb to the top. And that is simply how the world works. Now, if enough people band together, they can overthrow those who have the monopoly on power. This happened in the final disc war. But what if it hadn't? Dream had the teens cornered but in this world, no reinforcements arrived. So dream won. And that is simply how the world works. Ok. It's dsmp. Anything already in it may or may not appear in this fic. And if it does, it will be dramatized. This includes self harm, suicide, attempted suicide, drugs, murder, abuse in all forms, gaslighting, starvation, beatings, gore, imprisonment, torture, depression, dark thoughts, dark subjects, non bbh approved language, spoilers for the (early) dsmp, and more. I'm not putting tw in the actual chapters themselves because A) I will definitely forget one at some point and B) it's a huge spoiler to do so. But these themes are throughout the story. You have been warned. Not saying anything about the content creators, just the characters. Not suggesting that irl dream should go traumatize children or anything. Tommy had just recently moved homes. The one he left was one full of memories. Not good ones, but not necessarily bad ones, either. He didn't have much to live for at his old home, so he moved in hope of starting over and meeting new people. He had no more family, and his school friends had long moved on from him. In fact, the only number in his contacts was his mum's who was long passed away. Tommy was young (sixteen, to be exact) and he often forgot things. Usually just as simple as forgetting to do the laundry, or forgetting to reply to a notification on his phone that he received three seconds prior. Simple things that didn't matter. This time, though, he forgot to charge his phone before leaving his new, barely furnished apartment. He didn't think much of it. If it died, it died. No biggie, right? He figured he'd be alright for an hour or so without his phone. That is, until he got lost in the large, unfamiliar town that he definitely didn't even slightly know the layout of. He didn't know where he was or how to get back to his apartment, especially without a GPS. And then, when it definitely couldn't get worse, it began to rain. Tommy was soaked. He was cold, hungry. He cut into an alley and sat down against a brick wall, curled up on himself. He sat there for a while, and then heard footsteps. It was three men. The older one crouched down in front of him. "You look awful...Come with us, mate." But Tommy didn't want to.
