The surface was supposed to be safe again with Demise defeated, however, its anything but. In the shadows of the uninhabited land lurk rebel Sheikah, who call themselves the Dark Interlopers, who plot against Hylia's human reincarnation, Zelda, and her loyal hero, Link, in secret, building up power to take them both down. Around the same time, Link and Zelda come across a land parallel to the surface, a strange country called Termina, protected by the goddess Terminus. Terminus begs them to help her subdue the mighty Fierce Deity, who was once the goddess's hero before he was corrupted by the demon Majora. Link fights the Deity and defeats him, but he is wounded in the battle and filled with the demon's corruption himself. As he and Zelda return to their own land, the hero slowly starts losing himself mentally and physically, ultimately putting Zelda's life in danger as he tries to fight against something he cannot control. To make matters worse, the Dark Interlopers soon launch a massive attack against the two of them, capturing Zelda and leaving Link for dead. He is found and saved by the mysterious Sheik, the leader of the Sheikah who are still loyal to Hylia. With both the surface and the sky in great danger, the hero must fight to save them and the goddess once more, all while fighting the corruption that he is falling ever deeper into. What if Link was on the verge of death? Goddess Hylia opened up a portal when the hylian hero Link was close to dying at the hands of Calamity Ganon, who has a way to stop the reincarnations. What if something went wrong? What if the triforces were mixed up? Ganondorf gets courage, Link becomes wise, Zelda becomes evil. Can the castle astronomer, Y/N, fix all this before it's too late?
"Oh, Y/N!" Zelda cried "What do I do? I need to have Wisdom- not power!" Zelda flopped down on the stone steps.
Y/N pats her friend's back "Maybe it's a mistake..?"
"Hylia makes no mistakes!" Zelda bursts out.
"Who could've ended up with Wisdom...?" Zelda muses. Y/N taps the princess lightly and points to Link, who is whistling quietly in the corner.
"Remember when he fixed the guardian?" Y/N whispers, Zelda looks at her in horror.
