Rosalina Nechelly, aka Rose, is an Italian American 24 year old nurse who just so happens to end up in the zombie apocalypse. In the beginning, she had her twin brother Rafael, aka Rafi, her fiance Matt, and their two year old daughter Aurora. Sometime in the forth month of the apocalypse, she ends up all on her own. She is alone and traumatized from the death of someone she held so near and dear.
What happens when after almost four months she comes across a group of fellow survivors? Now there's a new conflict for Rose...the badass leader of this group named Xavier Kane. Xavier is a 28 year old ex army man who was their "secret weapon" in conflict. This man himself is a mystery with also a mysterious past. He killed many men in battle. The only reason he had to stop being that badass soldier is because he was wounded. He got shot in the stomach six times in a row. Those blows should have killed him, so how did he survive? A miracle or just pure luck? Or by chance is it possible Xavier Kane is truly invincible? Well I guess you'll just have to read to find out what happens between Rose and Xavier, and find out how exactly did Xavier survive a blow that should have killed him.

The 'things' are as you would call it zombies but of greater skill. They disguise themselves as humans yet they will not hesitate to kill you and eat you. If someone is a 'thing', automatically presume them dead, or at least soon to be dead. It will always take about 2 weeks to become fully changed, hopefully you can chop of that body part in time for the infection to stop. If you can't, put an end to your soon to be painful and horrible turn/death. These beings as I announced only a moment ago, look exactly like a human, two way to tell if they are one or not, their attitude and their eyes. They don't have emotions, only hunger and let me tell you, they will go out of their way to eat you, they will speak but it will sound different... Deformed almost. The eyes are usually the first to become infected, they become slightly red at first, as time progresses so does the intensity of the color red in the eye. The color in their eyes they once possessed, will seem dull, it will seem as if they are unfocused or unfamiliar with their surroundings. Not The Last {Rough Draft}
~Thank you for the continued love for this series! I was 13 when I began this book, and am now taking the time to go back to completely rewrite it, and maybe just publish someday~ I'm 15 and my name is Astrix. Let's start with that. That seems like an easy thing to start with. Now, let me add in some other details. I live in a zombie apocalypse. Yeah, that's about as enjoyable as I can make it seem. Now let me add in something else. I'm wanted by the CIA for reasons that I don't even know, but I guess I will find out eventually. Maybe somewhere within my story I will figure it out. I'm well known as The Bad Ass for reasons that are kind of obvious once you meet me. Maybe that's why they're after me? Because I'm a Bad Ass? Nope, I doubt that.
