Rei Maizano has it rough growing up. Being in the shadow of her popular idol older sister, for as long as she can remember, she was told that she can never be like her by her family and friends. All this changed when one day when Kyubey offers her the deal of the lifetime: it'll grant her any wish in exchange for fighting Witches by becoming a Magical Girl. Seeing that this offer is too good to pass up, Rei makes a wish in hopes of being noticed and loved but even people around her.
