This story takes place before Spacebound and The Slime.
This is a non-canon story for Space bound. Space bound is a comic book series created by my friend flutterbutter22.

I feel like I should add a bit of a violence warning here. 'Spacebound' is totally fine but this story can get a bit dark at times. Although I promise, it's no worse than PG-13. I just want to make sure no innocent, pure five-year old accidentally reads this. Then again Wattpad in general is a bit to mature for the under 10 crowd anyways so....

Not as heavy as she thought it'd be. "It's a Glock 17, 9 mm gun. Very easy to use. Doesn't weigh much. You should be able to use it. It holds 17 rounds - " "Wait, you gave me a loaded gun?" Her eyes widened "Of course not. I don't want it going off or me getting shot by accident." He chuckled. "Here I'll show you how to use it." An intelligent entity by the name of Unilife captures the attention of an ancient alien race, who must decide whether or not to make first contact with the human race in order to stop this fast-learning, genocidal entity . . . And after encountering the entity themselves, Humanity must decide between fighting Unilife to the bitter end, or fleeing the Milky Way Galaxy altogether. This short story is a precursor to other writings to come. Essentially, I'm using my experience from writing this as a springboard for future planned projects. Sidenote: this project was originally drafted in Google Docs. For some reason, when copying over to Wattpad, Wattpad converts all the em dashes to regular hyphens. Be on the lookout for that, as it completely slaughters the meaning of certain sentences and phrases which use em dashes. Survival in space was our only option. The dying earth and its sickly inhabitants forced us to flee to the stars. My father, the commander of the elite group chosen to live amongst the stars, brought me along for the journey. And everything was going smoothly until I unexpectedly woke up on a new planet, one with an ethereal glow and an eerie resemblance to our old home as the commander of the military space force, my father tasked his men with exploring this new world. But what they discovered was far from welcoming. This new planet was already inhabited by terrifying creatures, and they were not happy with our presence. His men fought to survive against these beasts, I couldn't help but wonder why they were so hostile towards us. That's when one of them approached me, defying everything we had been warned about. Instead of attacking, it watched me pick flowers before later saving me from a fiery blast. Now it's my turn to save him. Please read the prologue in the beginning before going to Chapter 1. I know a lot of people skip Prologues, however, it has important information that will give you a better understanding of what's going on in other chapters. Feel free to comment and vote. Heads up, I did not design this cover. I got it from YouTube on a Sonne meme video by Clay_ This is the first story I've ever written that I've actually intended for other people to read, so expect mistakes. I'm also looking for advice on how to improve this story like a beta reader, if you will. If you have a comment, criticism, or advice for me, please don't hesitate to post it as long as it's constructive. This story was inspired by the Solarballs YouTube channel. It will be different from the show's canon because it is an AU. There will be no ships because I think it's just weird to ship celestial bodies (no hate, just my opinion). All celestial bodies will also be genderless (but feel free to imagine them as whatever gender you want) because they're cosmic beings; why would they have gender? (Again, no hate) This story will focus on the Sun's backstory (with bits concentrating on other characters, namely other stars that helped shape Sun's character) because there is a disappointing lack of Sun-centric fan fiction. There will be both happy and angsty chapters (and a lot of headcannons), so prepare for a wild ride!
