"King Me," He states as he finally look up at me with the smile that always managed to melt my heart. 

I frown, "King me? What does that mean?"

"You know, in checkers you have to say 'King Me' once your piece finally reaches the opposite side of the board. Your opponent has to give up one of the pieces that belongs to you and place it on top of the checker that was able to make it to the other side. Think about it.
