"The colors were everywhere. They surrounded my eyes and other people and they followed me wherever they went. I didn't know what they were."

In the middle of nowhere in Alaska, there is The Institute for the Supernaturally Able, which no one knows exists. If you happen to walk through its halls on a normal day, you may see a person flashing from one end of the hall to another, look at someone who may seem to see straight through you, hear terrified screaming behind a closed door, or find someone that can shift into your clone.

Here at the institute, Skylar has a very unique case. She is able to tell someone's emotions and feelings just by looking at them. She can twist your emotions and change your moods. This is all possible for her because she is able to see a person's colors that they hold around their aura.

But everything changes when she is 14 and accepts an interview with a seemingly harmless government official. A year later when she turns 15, this decision comes back to haunt her as her whole world turns upside-down. She is forced to leave the institute as her fellow Supernaturally Ables are being used against the rest of the world and using their abilities to the horrible max. She must join together with her friends to save her family, her friends, the Institute, and the rest of the world.

"Sarah, do you know where I'm supposed to go next?" "Go next? You're leaving me?" "Yes, but I'm somewhat of a superhero, I'm saving lives right now. Don't ask how. It's too complicated." "Cool! In my dream, after I saw the rainbow, I saw strange monsters under my bed. Are you here to fight away the monsters?" I sighed. What a cool metaphor she used for a seven year old who didn't know. "Yes. So I just need to crawl under your bed?" "I think so. But, before you go, I want you to have this." She ripped her painting off of her easel and handed me a rainbow. "To remember me." I lightly touched the rainbow. It had dried really fast. Was she using fast dry paint or something? It seemed like it. I folded the paper and put it in my back pocket. I thought of something to give her back in return. For the rainbow, and for showing me where to go. "Now, I know it's not much, but I want you to have this ribbon bracelet that I made myself. It matches the ribbon in your hair." How convenient. I had made this bracelet when I was bored in bed a couple of nights ago with Amber's extra fashion supplies. I took it off my wrist. Next to it was The Treasure Was You bracelet Fabian had gave me for Christmas. I missed him. I wondered what he was doing right now. Her little eyes seemed to glow. "It's so pretty and it matches perfectly! I love love love it! Thanks, um, what's your name?" "Nina, Nina Martin." Another rule broken. I got on the ground, ready to slip under her bed. "But, you won't remember me or my name, and I won't remember you or your name when we meet." "Why not?" "Because-" I said, my waist down under her bed now, "-I am the only one who is Real here." All rights go to Nickeloden for the characters they made. I, however, have new characters in this story, that I made up myself. ©

I go to the Gifted High School because like most I am special. Here in The Mystic realm there are four kinds of people, elementalists, psychs, e-psychs and gypsies. Also outside our Kingdom lies the land of the creatures. There you will find werewolves, dragons, vampires and shifters. But they are blood thirsty beasts who kill anything that enters their land, or so we've been told. When my life is torn apart and destroyed I soon figure out who I am and there is no stopping my revenge. Our world as we know it is about to change and it's all up to me whether it changes for the better or worse. If I let the greater evil get me our world is over but I must find my strength and courage to over come all the trials I face. Because not only am I an E-Psych but I have every power my people have ever known.
