My eyes stared at the chair in my room. My eyes squinted as a light glowed in my eyes. The blue computer chair shook slightly as it refused to move. I pursed my lips as I put my hands in front of me with my palms towards the object. The chair began to move slowly off the carpeted floor. I slowly set it back in its spot and began to bit my lip. I slowly moved the chair towards me and closer to the bed. I smiled as the chair got closer. Finally, the chair came in contact with my hands. I squealed in happiness. I threw my hands in the air and celebrated. All of a sudden, my door slammed open.
"What's with all of the noise?" My father said with irritation in his voice.
"I did it, I moved the chair with my mind!" I said with excitement in my voice.
"That's it, Jess. I'm calling Hartsville Mental Institution. I'm tired of all of these lies with moving stuff with your mind." his voice made me shiver.
"N-No Dad I'm sorry!" I ran after him as he walked with his phone to his ear.
