Depuis plusieurs jours, des personnes sont retrouvées mortes près de San Francisco. A chaque fois, le tueur n'a laissé aucune empreinte à part une poupée de clown et un couteau. Ces deux objets ont-ils un rapport avec les victimes ou les meurtres ? C'est ce que l'inspectrice Olivia Bailey va essayer de découvrir.

Pulling my phone out, I checked the Caller ID. It was a number not saved in my phone but it was also a Minnesota number, someone from back home. Cautiously, I answered the phone. "Hello?" The phone was silent on the other end as I heard shuffling in the background but no answer. "Hello?" My voice more stern and annoyed. Why fucking call someone if you're not going to speak? "Nixon Pierce?" I hate when people use my first fucking name, it's so cringy. "This is Detective Tia Fletcher, with Rochester P.D. Do you remember me? I was the detective on your case." She questioned me but I had already remembered her from the name. "I was the detective who visited the hospital around the time your twins were born..." Detective Fletcher trailed off. I rolled my eyes, annoyed that this lady pops up at all the wrong times. "Yeah, I remember who you are." My voice was monotone. "Why are you calling me? I'm on my honeymoon."
