The world is the Citizen Republic, and its only language is Citizen.

Over the course of a century the Citizen Republic conquered its provinces, near and far, triggering massive waves of immigration and dividing the people of the world into two categories: citizens and outlanders. Beaten by the military might of the Republic, outlanders in the provinces gave up their independence to become colonies. The Republic built roads, hospitals, and schools in its new territories, forcing all outlanders to learn citizen, wiping out all other languages for good.
Now the outlander legends of old and their telling have all but died out under the weight of the citizen tongue. But not everyone is willing to forget - for there is magic in the outlander tongues, and word-mages willing to learn to wield them in their struggle to end the tyranny of the Citizen Republic and to free the languages of the world.

AI audiobook version https://fictionate.me/my-books/817246DA-5D78-42B6-BAA2-AE9D3BF8AFC8 "Resonance//Dissonance" is a fantasy, grimdark, and drama web novel set in modern-day Poland. The protagonist, Lukas, is a 22-year-old bartender nicknamed "UnLucky Luke." Despite his rough exterior, he is a warm person, striving to provide others with what he himself lacked during his toughest times. However, when a bar fight leads him to discover a hidden magical world behind the veil of reality, his life takes a drastic turn. As Lukas navigates this new world, he realizes that it is rife with prejudice and injustice, mirroring the reality he knows. He learns that the reality he has always known is merely a facade concealing a multitude of magical realms, each harboring their own dark secrets and dangers. These realms are interconnected, forming a network of horrors and wonders. The powers Lukas awakens within himself are considered repulsive and despised by most denizens of the magical world. They become both his greatest curse and his strongest motivation. As he journeys through the world of magic and delves into the depths of his own being, Lukas experiences horror, pain, determination, and possibility. To survive in a world where magic, power, and influence reign supreme and he is considered insignificant, Lukas must find a way to come to terms with his powers and himself. Hello, everyone! I'm a beginner writer. After five years of reading hundreds of novels, I've decided to give writing my own a try. Please note that all characters, events, and places mentioned here are fictional. I enjoy chaotic and dynamic storytelling, so that's what you can expect from my work. I've started a Discord server as I've heard it helps, and I genuinely wish to hear your opinions and suggestions personally. This book is for grades 6-9 because of violence and strong language. This is a powerful novel that combines sci-fi, real life events, scientific theories, friendship, disabilities, romance, magic, and family all into one. It also shows the power of the mind to manifest anything. It is about perseverance endurance kindness and finding yourself. It shows that through the darkest time as long as you keep hope you can accomplish your dreams. It also uses a metaphors to represent the injustice in the world and that we have to fight to abolish to be treated fairly. This is a heart wrenching novel filled with pain and sadness but at its heart this book is about the magic that lives inside everyone. I also wrote this book to make people more aware of the disorders and disabilities that a lot of people face. The disorders and disabilities that the girls in this book have I also suffer from myself and I feel that the public should be more aware of these conditions.
