Derek lives by himself near the woods of Beacon Hills where he isn't bothered by anything or anyone, just how it's been for years. Like any other day, he goes out for a run, but this time he comes across a certain teenager who he isn't able to communicate well with enough in order to convince him off the brink of death. He doesn't have enough time to think far ahead into the future as well as the consequences that would come along with saving this boy. As the clock keeps ticking, and as the time grows shorter, Derek realizes what he has to do.
