At seventeen, Mickensie Nice is no stranger to sex, booze, and drugs. A self-proclaimed free spirit, she believes in trying everything at least once. Still reeling from a recent heartbreak, she begins to heavily self-medicate, and it isn't long before a pair of unsavory new friends turn her onto heroin and her life slips off the rails. During her months battling a short-lived but dangerously intense opiate addiction, Mickensie makes an assortment of new connections, memories, and enemies before being faced with the most daunting obstacle of her life: recovery. IMPORTANT::: 7-2-17 I've decided today that I'm going to make this the first book in a duology, or perhaps a trilogy, so once this book has been marked as completed be looking for the sequel!

Broken

I am now in the editing stages of this book but the content is complete. This book is book one of a trilogy and the next book I will begin posting after I get through edits in Broken. ( very soon!) Thank you for all the support and love! Warning: Mature content. Mild Sexual scenes identified in chapter intros. Very light and Mild Violence (street fighting/boxing). Strong language (cursing In all chapters). Tagged for mature audience, but within the guidelines of not having to mark the book as for mature audiences. Authors Note: There were times when I wrote this book like one would read, a GOOD read, addicted. It would be mid day, still in my sweats, coffee brewing, and I would be feverishly turning out pages. Days consumed with passion and then there were days my characters were silent. There were days unfortunately that I questioned every page and at times I wanted to scrap the whole thing. On those days, I sought out my favorite place in the world, the woods. There in nature, I would find my way back to all the words that completed this book. It has been a journey, one that I have come to cherish.
