At at young age Maci's life had took a turn for the worst. Her father being the only person in her life left, had left her abandoned and alone. Where he went? No one knew and I'm sure no one will ever find out. Lucky she had her young aunt to take her in as her own. Moving from New York to California, was definitely a change in life style. Nevertheless, Maci loved it there. Her aunt being the young age of 25, was definitely more down to earth with Maci. As happy and as perfect as Maci's life may seem, it's not. Everyone has their demons, their secrets, the stuff they keep hidden away but, what happens to Maci once someone tries to figure out those secrets? What happens when someone treats you differently than you're used to? Chance Harper, a 16 year old boy with so much hurt, guilt, and pain that would be unbearable to the average person. As kid Chance was as bright as the sun, very active, and always there to lend a hand to anyone who needed. His mother and him had this special bond you can only get with certain people. His mother was a motivational speaker so, speaking was her life. It's what she did for a living. Her words helped so many. Chance believed that all his words did were hurt. His parent's died when he was 10, and he got moved around for 4 year's in foster care. He finally find's a home where he feels like he's family, He has a mom, dad and a brother. 4 years later things happen and everything start's to go wrong. People die and people you thought you knew show a whole different side. Garret finds himself distancing from everybody. Because if he's not close to anybody, they cant get hurt. Right?  One day while at a fight he runs into Keeley, who is a spirited and confident little fireball. when they met it left an impression on Garret, soon he finds himself wanting to know her more. and soon, he find's himself falling for her.  Everyone Garret's ever loved has died, has gotten hurt, or stabbed him in the back.will he be able to trust her enough to let her close,or push her away to keep them both from getting hurt? © 2013
