"So, what made you decide to choose living here instead of a dorm?  Especially if it was already payed for?"

He smiled.  "The ocean."  He winked at me before refocusing her attention to his book.

Although I still didn't quite know what he meant, I gave him a white, toothy smile before getting up to check on the toast before I burnt the entire house down.  That was, right until I heard Maverick screeching as he ran down the hall.

"Sophie! You dumbass! You're going to kill us all!"

It wasn't the toaster that had erupted into flames, it was the garage.
