Selena - She has spent her whole life in Spero, a place filled with Novi. Her mother and father both died when she was younger. They caught Mors, a disease spread by Exitium. When her parents passed she awoke to her powers. Knox - He watched as his parents were murdered in front of him when he was younger by members of Exitium. He vowed he would never let that happen to anyone else, so he joined the guard academy and graduated top of his class. He was assigned to Spero and quickly rose to head guard. Eric - He has lived his whole life in Spero and has a good life. No tragedies, no nothing really. He went to the guard academy and came back to be a guard for Spero like his dad was. She discovers, after a sneaky phone call from Galen, that they were trying to take her to a remote island far from California and were already almost at the coast. Camila and Isabel both set out to track her down and it's a real battle for all of them as they struggle to free her before they can get her on the boat to the island- and keep from being killed too.
