Scarlett White only has one goal, to get into Yale University. Yet in order to be the intern of her idol, Professor Holland, she has to prove herself by conducting a study on the "popular kids" of a new school by pretending to be one of them and getting close to them.
Now named April Summers, she will have to study the jocks, the cheerleaders, the heartthrobs, and the overachievers. To figure out what makes these types of people popular and why they are feared. What lies behind the facade they place everyday. What they really feel. What drives them to hurt others if they can.

Katherine Fields. School heartthrob and is known to have broken every guys heart in the school. Makes fun of those who are "ugly".
Daniel Cooper. Student council president, valedictorian, overachiever. Known to mock those who have low grades.
Will Jackson. Notorious playboy who has dated every girl in school. In current conquest to date all the girls in a nearby all girls school. Doesn't date long term.
