Indi is an atheist, vegetarian ; who orders chocolate milk from a juice bar every Wednesday.  Four minutes later, she sits in a confessional sipping her milk that has been placed into a juice cup and talks of her life. On the other side of the screen sits Atticus, who hasn’t read the book he’s named after. He listens only because she comes when he coincidently has stopped to take a breather from the basketball practice that occurs on the empty court beside the church.

It is the early summer of their seventeenth year, yet at heart they aren't seventeen years older than when they were first born, they just appear that way.

That's when indigo is introduced to the friend group. The girls were like miss perfect teenagers. You know the type. Size six. To many teeth for their mouth. Rosy cheeks. Long shiny hair.
