I can't believe this is happening I can't believe I left yet here I am sitting on a plane crying thinking how I just made the biggest mistake of my life thinking of what he will think when he wakes up and I'm not there a note is I'm a coward I ran away Now sorry to jump in so late in my story how about I take you back to how it all started If you had of asked me if this is where I would have been at the end of my summer vacation I would of laughed no way would I have ended up in love yet broken hearted alone but not completely you might ask what do I mean I can't really say now that would defeat the story but it all started when my mum sent me to my grandmothers in Miami for my summer vacation so hear it goes this is what happened to me this summer ......

It was truly love at first sight, and only if you knew that after these 2 months you'd ever see him again. You look at photos, old bills from cafes you two went too and a shirt, it was Harry's, you took it and smelled it, the fabric still smelt like him, his perfume. You close your eyes for a brief moment reminiscing. After setting it down you grab a very specific cassette and decide to rewatch it, it's a bunch of photos and videos of Harry that you took of him back that summer, then every memory seems to come flooding back into your mind. It feels like yesterday when he touched for the last time, before your parents had to seperate to from the longest hug you've ever experienced. It feels like yesterday when his luscious lips where softly kissing yours. It feels like yesterday when you were walking on the beach, and in hand, watching the sunset. A tear rolled down your cheek when suddenly the door swings open and your 4 year old son stands in the room. He sits down next to you. "What's the movie mummy?", he asks. "Nothing special just some old stuff that reminds your mum of her youth, sweetheart"' you answer while another tear rolls down your cheeks. "Mom, not today. I don't even know why you're making me go. Today is dads..." I didn't want to finish and remind her of dads' birthday. My phone kept ringing, I already knew it was Dakota, he's my childhood best friend. "Just take your brother to school, please!" She exclaimed. She looked miserable. I shut the door and smelled the freshly cut grass. I smiled to myself knowing it was my dad's favorite smell. "Alexandria! We're gonna be late, can you stop daydreaming and get in the car." My brother, Cory hollered. He hates to think about dad. He just forgets. I Jeep Wrangler and I started the car, Cory rolled down his windows. "Are we sitting together at lunch today?" Cory asked me. "No I want you to sit with your friends, I'll be alright alone." I told him. "Alright Alex, believe it or not I actually love you. And I love you enough to tell you, you need friends." He admitted. "Have fun. Love you too, Corky." I laughed at the name I gave him when I was a kid. He smiled at me then left into the school. I went on to go to a flower shop. I stopped and got out. I walked in the shop. "Ally, do you have my order, the cars running?" I asked Ally. "Yeah Alex, I have it. Your order for 1 dozen Chocolate Cosmos, 2 dozen Daises, and 1 dozen yellow Roses." "Thanks Ally." I grabbed all the flowers then ran back to the car. I drove to the grave. I threw all my stuff into my bag. I grabbed the flowers and I pulled my bag over my shoulder and got out. I looked around and saw people young and old coming here to see their loved ones. I saw my families graves. Almost my whole family will be buried here. My grandpa always said it was sacred. I put the Cosmos on my dad's grave. The Daises on my grandmothers and the Roses on my grandpas. I talked and talked to them till I pull my pack of cigarettes out of my bag along with a lighter. Don't worry," he pleaded rocking us back and forth slightly. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry I ruined this moment," was all I could say as silent tears made their way down my cheeks and onto his shirt. "Shhh, it's alright. I don't know how it will all work out, but we will be together, forever. I promise," he assured me, pressing a kiss to my temple. I sniffled and wiped my eyes as I looked up at Evan. He was watching me with concerned, loving eyes and for some unknown reason that look only made me start crying again. This isn't related to this story but, Hi i'm Kate. this is my first fully written story, though its only a short story i'm very proud of myself for fully committing to one theme and finishing it. This short story is very over dramatic and complicated because its my first story but I hope you enjoy. Description: "What are your summer plans?" My teacher asks the class. My classmates respond with the basic responses, vacation, beach, and hanging out with friends. I respond with vacation, but I don't even want to go to Orange County. It's not too far from where I live, but Sana Cruz and OC is a long drive.
