"Nico, say something, please." I begged him as he sat as still as a statue, looking at a certain spot. I knew the situation looked bad. I didn't want to leave but I have no choice. I watched him warily as he stood, staying quiet. He moved over to where his dad kept the whiskey and picked up the bottle. Not bothering with a glass, took a swing. After a moment of complete silence, he spoke. "Get out" the words were so softly spoken, it took me a moment to register what he said. My eyes widened in disbelief. "What?". I waited for him to turn around and tell me that he was sorry and he didn't mean it, that the situation we were in wouldn't change anything.

Who am I kidding? The situation changed everything. Suddenly he got up from the chair and threw the bottle at the wall, it smashed into hundreds of little pieces. "I SAID GET OUT" He stormed towards me, with clenched his fists but I wasn't afraid. I knew that he'd never hurt me. I moved forward and placed a hand on his cheek in attempt to calm him. His eyes closed for a moment and he relaxed, but when he opened his eyes again, it was different. He was blocking me out. "Don't push me away Nico" I begged" I'm still that same girl you fell in love with" he reached up and cupped my face, he lent in to the point I felt his breath on my cheek.

He looked into my eyes for a moment then dropped his head to mine, and he kissed me. It wasn't like the usual times were he would make me go weak in the knees. This time it felt me with a feeling of dread. It felt like a goodbye. After a moment longer he pulled away and looked me in the eyes. His wall was still in place. "I don't know who you are anymore" he said quietly, ripping my heart from my chest "the Rose I love would never Abandon her family"it was as if he was squeezing my heart. The ache grew stronger " the Rose I love wouldn't leave" he stayed silent for a moment then spoke again "I can't love a stranger" my heart shattered like the bottle on the ground
