Highest chart in short story #232

Yellowstone National Park is home to numerous geological features, including one super volcano. 

Georgianna van der Linden lives in the Upper East Side and owns her own fashion line. She's very career driven and doesn't let anything stop her moving forward. Not even a volcano. 

Jerry Lawrence owns a ferry business on Friday Harbour which takes passengers from the San Juan Islands to Washington mainland. His family is his main priority and will do anything for them. How will the volcano affect their lives? 

Two different people on two different sides of the USA who are both affected by the super volcano eruption.

Jacob's anger, yelling and all the abuse. Saying he's sorry over and over and that it won't happen again, but it's the same thing over and over. He would say anything to make me stay. Always an apology then back to his old tricks. He doesn't know I got a phone call this morning while he was at work. A phone call from someone with a number that I didn't' recognize. I looked up the number online, and it came back to a mental institution. I can't imagine what I was thinking not listening to my gut the first time he hit me. But I packed my stuff from the closet in a bag and left. I have been on the road for hours when my phone starts buzzing next to me. I see his name pop up and just ignore it. I focus on the road ahead and although I have no clue where I am going I just drive. I tried to do everything I could to make him happy with me but nothing I ever did was right. Everything would set him off and make him fly off the handle. I couldn't call my parents and let them know what was happening. I chose to leave the moment I graduated high school because I knew what was best. Boy was I wrong!

As things progress, Erica notices a very tall mountain with a hole at the top. She learns that its a volcano, called Mt. Sinclair, which is right on top of Brockley. When the volcano erupts, Erica and Darren must stick together to survive. With other drastic events happening at the same time, Darren vows to protect Erica. Will they possibly fall in love? When Nathan wakes up, he decides to pay back this wild girl for saving his life by doing anything he can to help her get home. Even if that means risking his life for her. Can the pair survive the harsh Rocky Mountain wilderness and make it to civilization?
