Kas Balera is used to a bit of chaos.
As a space bounty hunter, capturing three Class-2 criminals should have been the most difficult part of her week, but when a disaster of epic proportions rocks the entire solar system, Kas is thrust into the midst of an adventure far beyond her wildest fantasies.
With the help of a federal robot, a child genius, and her trusty ship - the Calista - Kas must use all her quick thinking and sharp wit if she's going to stay alive and uncover the new dark and dangerous mysteries of the galaxy.

Amid rising crime rate, the Galactic Space Force (GSF) set up a legal contract where registered bounty hunters (known as Coyotes) go after criminals and bring them in alive in return for credits. Wolf is one of the best coyotes in the GSF, but also one of the most hated. He has no care of the damage he causes to people or buildings when pursuing a bounty, leaving the GSF having to compensate those affected by his actions. When the daughter of a senator in The Kingdom becomes the most wanted terrorist in the solar system, the GSF is hired to find her before anyone else does. Willing to look past Wolf's reckless history, the director of the GSF contracts him and other coyotes to find the senator's daughter and take her to the GSF at whatever cost. It is within a single vessel, known as the CSS Groundskeeper, do things begin to influence the "Things To Be," as labeled by followers of the pantheon. Within this ship, two individuals will face the beginning of what is to be unimaginable horrors within an unforgiving universe, both with the same goal: do not succumb to the darkness.
