Chermone Renee Logan, star basketball player, all-around jock, is planning on leading her team to the state championship this year, and hopefully catching the eye of the Olympic scout in the process. But what happens when Cher gets into an accident that costs her what she holds so dear: the ability to play basketball?
Enter Jake Hemmingway, quiet, music-obsessed loner who helps Cher get back on track and figure out what she is going to do with her life. But will Cher, the head-strong, independent all-star allow herself to be humbled and accept the help or will she refuse and continue on her spiral downward?
