Since the dawn of time humans must hide into deep underground bunkers at least once a year. The reasons long forgotten why. Cora has gone through this cycle of fear eighteen times. But this year she got locked out. She never heard the sirens. She didn't see the warnings. She was hopeless. This year she found out why they hide.
