The King took his time examining the faces of each son. Even the youngest had come of age to be wed. The old king knew his time was drawing near. He needed to ensure the throne would remain in the bloodline should anything happen to his sons. The words the King spoke next had the 8 brothers glancing at each other in dismay. Their father was endangering them all while ruining the lives of 8 innocent women. They could not deny their desire for a woman though. And so the men agreed to their father's orders. 8 women would be selected to marry the princes.
