Alice is royal and hates it. George is her brother and is next in line for the throne. George needs a queen and in order to get his queen girls must be taken from all over the kingdom and will be trained how to be a future queen and how to kill in order to compete. The winner will become queen of the kingdom and will rule alongside George. 
Alice hates the games and wish they would stop so she does the only thing she can think of. She runs away and swaps places with a girl and tries to stop the games. Alice soon realizes that there is a lot more to the games and more dangerous than she thought. 
Can she survive and stop the games before someone dies? Or will it be her that needs saving?
