Sleep, eat, hunt, kill, repeat. Protect those who do not know the truth, without mercy, without emotions, and leave nothing. For 19 years, Astraea has perfected her family's code. Killing the things that go bump in the night, without civilians being the wiser. She has never doubted her family's purpose, until she finally comes across a target that makes her waver.

Nothing scares a wolf more than a hunter. Humans with weapons and bloodlust thick in their scent, they are born that way. All humans are bad news, all they want to do is kill and mar, tear families apart, and force packs into starvation. Suka was sick of it. Suka grew up in a pack completely separate from everyday society. She trained hard to be the perfect shifter, the perfect wolf, the perfect leader, the thing is, she wasn't perfect. Suka was a seventeen year-old girl who had a heart for adventure that often led her to the borders of her territory. Borders that she tested one too many times. Now, injured and forced into the world of humanity Suka is faced with a very real predicament. Humans aren't as bad as she was told, and she will be the one to break the news to her pack. Another problem soon arises as well...when a leader mates, they are bonded for life, so what happens when a Suka develops an unusually strong attraction for a human boy?
