One night was all it took: Story one
Lacey Martin has built her life around the familiarity of the local bar she manages...a home for her. Independent, headstrong, and content, she keeps her heart tucked away, aside from a few one-night stands. She stays around her close-knit crew, a family of regulars and friends. Her normal routine, however, is shattered by one night that changes everything. When an old friend returns to town, Derek, with a group of friends, everything shifts dramatically in Lacey's world. Among his friends is Natalia, Derek's ex and a woman who will date men or women but finds herself drawn to Lacey. In one evening, both women are caught in an unexpected and powerful connection. This sparks an emotional and intense sensual escapade that forces Lacey to confront her feelings she didn't know existed. As the aftershocks of the intimate encounter ripple into the following days, Lacey finds herself torn between her known life and the magnetic allure of a new, uncharted love. The intense bond with Natalia challenges everything Lacey once believed about herself, including her stance on relationships and her guarded view on love, forcing her to check boxes she's never known. For Natalia, the collision of her past, connected to the fame, fortune, and work she's put in, it's time for her to confront future possibilities. As old wounds and unresolved histories stir within their friend groups, loyalties are tested, and the support network of the bar becomes both a sanctuary and a mirror reflecting the complexities of love, desire, and self-acceptance. "One Night Was All It Took" isn't just romance...it's an exploration of identity, the courage to defy preconceived limits, and that life can change in an instant. Witness the transformative power of one chance meeting that upends expectations and challenges the heart to live more fully and fearlessly. Every moment builds toward a future where love is less about definition, and instead of what we desire. And this is just book one. There are seven.Complete
Faith💙
Having faith in something that literally isn't there but is is tiring. Also, the world hates you and you have to fight against the one thing you can't escape, sin. Choosing to fight this battle puts a target on your mind and sometimes body, and it can make or break you. ... Seems useless, right? Maybe, but it isn't, because either way it goes, we can't change it. It's scary, new, fun, and boring all at the same time. It's... not something humans would regularly do. But I'm taking the challenge and attempting to make it to a place called Heaven. Just read it, I'm not fighting you, I'm fighting FOR you. *I'm BEGGING A STRANGER!!!* As you know, I am a NEW Christian.👌👍👏❤😳😜 (and yes, best decision of my life, you should try it) HOWEVER, I am also human, which means Sin😈 Sweet, EVIL, Sin. (Chile, anyways, so!) In this story, you'll read about how I deal with Sin and do a terrible job at fighting what comes with loving the King of Kings at this stage of life.... PSA: I'm a working progress, and my POV of life is just WAY OFF! Another PSA from months after the book was finished: Please disregard the unorganized book! I was at a fiery point and my mind was wilding.Complete
Nuestro Si? Si.
Scholar
[COMPLETED] [Warning: Strong language used throughout the book.] He put his hand over my notebook and the other over mine. I glared up at him, his golden brown eyes catching my attention. "I can't write like this," I pointed out. "Is this all you care about?" Ryan asked. I shrugged. "Not this specifically, but yeah, I care about my grades." Ryan smirked. I swallowed nervously but refused to break my stoic expression. He leaned closer to me, my heart pounding so hard against my chest it felt like it might break out and fall on the table between us. His mouth was right by my ear, and I could feel his warm breath when he spoke which sent shivers down my spine. "Well, aren't you a little a scholar?" *** The only things Alex Moris ever cared about were his grades and his sister. However, when the boy his sister likes, Ryan Smithe, makes things complicated and causes him to feel things he's never felt before, Alex realizes that, maybe, there's more important things in life than grades and scholarships. Name and person mentioned is NOT REAL or related to the owner of the story to which this was inspired from. the excerpt is pulled from Youtube comment. All credits to her.] [The Story of us. We met in school. We were each other's greatest competitor. We were not fond of each other. But as the months passed by, we started to know each other, we had shared a couple of back stories as we worked on our group presentation. We became friends, then close friends, and then after a year, we became lovers. But just when I thought that everything was in their right place, my biggest downfall came. After our third anniversary, he started to become cold. He no longer joins me studying, he was even reasoning out that he's tired all the time and that he couldn't send me home. I said it was fine, I can manage. I thought it was just that, but it wasn't. I decided to confront him, I went to his condo and there, my greatest fear welcomed me without warning. He was with a woman, a pregnant woman. He was holding her like she's the most fragile thing on earth. They looked so happy. I didn't know how I managed to compose myself and walked towards them. As soon as our eyes met, he froze. I looked at the woman tensely and lifted my hand as I introduced myself as his classmate and she introduced herself as his girlfriend for a year, already. He said he loves her more. That every time we are together, his mind was with her. He said I make him hard, but she makes him weak. He said I make him feel special, but she makes him feel loved. He told me to punch him and berate him for he would rather end our relationship than leave her and their baby.] But the story, my story doesn't end there because I chose to move forward and be the strong woman that I am.Complete
Saving Grace
I've always been rebellious; wanting to do things that people around me don't agree with. I guess that made me feel liberated from my past, from everything that surrounded me. I think your past makes up a big part of who you are, it's that part of you that you grow into and remain like that. I've never had anything easy at all. It's always been hard on me. It's been so hard every part of me has been broken into a million pieces beyond repair. I tried to become better but turns out I failed because I'm falling and I can't stop falling but this time I'll fight. I will not go down without a fight. *book extract* He pulled out his gun from his jacket making me fire at his arm and he dropped it screaming even louder while begging me to stop. "I asked you to stop too didn't I? I begged and cried but you never stopped. Why should I?" I fired at his other leg. "I don't want to kill you, I want to cripple you. You scarred my body now I'm going to return the favor. Every time you'll look in the mirror you'll remember me Jack like I do you." Gillian62003*Complete
