You try to remind yourself that you have to be brave.
The Beast landed and the ground shook upon its landing. It leaned forward, using its head to inspect you.
"I'm a friend." You were nervous.
Well, you lied to yourself and to it. You were more than nervous. The Beast was, sniffling you? That's a first. Now the nervous feeling are deteriorating.
At least it didn't bite you. Your mind commented.

I pull my canteen out and take a swig of my hot cider letting it warm my body, but got interrupted by my sister shouting at me over the wind. "Can you take a picture of me?
