It was the year of 2308. America had taken over the entire continent of North America after the War of 2297 between Russia and the United States. The country had expanded North, using the ground now known as War Land for military base camps. Many small Communities were spread throughout War Land, but were not regulated by government officials. The people who lived there had rules to follow, even though they were expected to survive on their own. Many of the Communities were destroyed due to fighting with outsiders or the challenges within their own walls. While struggling to survive off the little they had, the Russians began to plan another attack on America, making life in War Land even harder.

When a wanderer, Liam Payne comes across the Northern Community of Stark, he realizes that they have a completely different world within a state of disaster. Liam meets the Pack, who rule and run Stark, and begins to discover the secrets of the Community's success. During his time in Stark, Liam learns about love, loyalty and allegiance.
