“Check” Katherine says as she moves her Queen into a position where she can take my King.
“Damn it. Hey! I thought you were teaching me to play! Not kicking my ass!” I complain as I move my King out of danger.
She sticks her tongue out at me, and smiles. Chasing down another one of my pieces and taking it off the board. She looks longingly at the chair next to her while I ponder my next move.
“I know how you feel” I say, not taking my eyes off the board. The boys have been at interviews all day, leaving us at the bus because none of the interviewers wanted us there. We’ve had the Telly on next to us, playing the interviews so we can watch the boys. Katherine watches them as I move my piece. I flick my eyes to the chair next to me. Wishing Niall was there. Katherine sighs and turns back to the board. She smiles and takes the piece I just moved. I growl and turn my attention to the sounds of the interviewer asking Niall a question.
“Niall, honey how’s the relationship going?”
He smiles and looks into the camera, as if he knows that I’m watching “It’s amazing. I love him very much”. I melt inside and smile at the picture of him.
“Are you getting a lot of hate for it?”
His smile drops “Yes” his voice is barely audible.
“That’s a shame love, but maybe the fans are right?”
“What?!” Niall and I yell at the same time.
“What do you mean by that?” Niall snarls, Zayn puts a hand on his shoulder to hold him back.
“Well… isn’t it a little early for love?”
“Not for me” Niall’s voice is tight.
“I think the fans just want to make sure you’re happy”
Niall scoffs “Yeah, sure, well, a message to them. I’m happy”.
I sit back in my chair as Katherine leans forward in hers, staring at the screen. I grab my phone and send a quick text to Niall. ‘Don't listen to them babe, you are everything I've ever needed <3’
