Crush The Crown.
Resist The Throne.
Destroy The Ceremony.

This is Pax Americana, a Utopian society in which no crimes nor rebellions have occurred for the past forty years. The secret to their success? Control the children.

Under the R.Y.E. - Rebellious Youths Eradication - Act, children are forced to conform to the rigorous societal standards and compete academically and socially to secure their status and avoid punishment, leaving them eager to transition into adulthood.

On the fortieth anniversary of Pax Americana, the government lowered the age requirement for the Coming of Age Ceremony. They also enlisted volunteers for a new secretive organization, The Catchers, who will risk all morals to combat an emerging youth rebellion known as The Phallen.

Their prize? A better life.

When Angethena Yang, one of the millions of children suffering under the R.Y.E. Act is coerced to join The Catchers after encountering a former friend who was supposed to be dead, she finds herself trapped in a cycle of lies and self doubt.

Will these kids ultimately make the right decisions before they lose themselves?

From birth, Trinity saw the world differently than her peers. Not that she knew much of her peers in her childhood as she was home-schooled. However, that's all in the past. She has her own business, works hard and all-in-all, she's happy. For the most part, that is. As long as she still has her seclusion for which she has worked hard and values above all else, then she will be fine. If people would just stay away... Leah has been blind her entire life but never let it hold her back as she embraced it with open arms. She hasn't ever known any differently and life is great. Or at least, it could be with these new changes. Moving to a new town, Leah is excited to begin a new life, but her family isn't exactly shy about their protectiveness of her. If only she could be somewhere, anywhere where people would treat her just as they would anyone else. As their paths cross, Leah and Trinity's lives are forever changed, some changes for the better and others still up for debate. People can sometimes surprise us in the most exhilarating of ways, however, and they are just about to find out exactly why. Exile: The Book of Ever by JamesCormier
30 parts Complete
Centuries after the Fall, the United States has been wiped away. The crumbling remains of the great American empire are home now only to savage, lawless tribes and packs of ravening Damned-the twisted children of the apocalypse. Most of those few who survived humanity's destruction spend their short lives in a violent struggle for survival. But some light still flickers in the darkness: the Blessed of Bountiful live in seclusion, relying on walls both physical and spiritual to protect them from the Desolation that their world has become. Among them are the Saints, those few men and women born with superhuman abilities that the Blessed see as gifts from God. The violent apostate tribes of the Northeast Kingdom have always been a danger, but up until recently its small size and the vigilance of its people have made Bountiful an unappealing target. As attacks on the community grow harsher and more frequent, however, even the steadfast Blessed are forced to start preparing for the worst. With her home's very existence threatened, seventeen year old Ever Oaks, a Saint with the power to heal, is forced to make a difficult choice, one that may come to define her people's future... Exile was a semi-finalist in Mark Lawrence's Great Self-Published Fantasy Blog-Off (#SPFBO). Fantasy Faction said it was "extremely cool," and Bookish Lifestyle called it "more than just a story, a journey and an experience." When I'm asked about it, I often describe it as "X-Men meets The Walking Dead." In addition to reading it here for free, you can buy Exile in e-book or paperback on Amazon.com.

Book #3 The Year Rules were changeable. Year 13 Academy Prep Course 2 Year 14 Three-Part Testing Year 15 Choose Career Pathway Year 16 Academy Prep Course 3 Year 17 Final School Test Year 18 Anything not completed on time from Years 13, 14, 15, 16, or 17, result in Abandonment If one reaches Year 18 and has abided by every Year Rule, then that individual is now considered an adult, and will no longer have Year Rules to follow. It is at this point we believe an individual has proven themselves worthy to be a part of our great society. Failure to uphold proper behavior is still not without consequence. Year 13 was a struggle for me, finding my way on the streets, all alone. My life was constantly changing, my beliefs and ideologies a blur. I no longer knew where I stood. I had started to hear whisperings of a revolution, of people who wanted to make a change. People who aspired to be rid of the Government. Year 13 didn't feel any different than all the other Years. Year 17 though, brought about change, long-awaited and necessary change, not only for myself but for others. Year 12: Abandonment for Felisha Martins, date of birth November 19th, 2509, the current number of Years in Abandonment, 11. Year 18 was a long-awaited goal. Year 18 was meant to free me, liberate me. I was going to make that happen.
