There was once a young girl who's name was, Mercy Dante Reed. Lets just say, Mercy had a rough life. At school, everyone picked on her because she was different. They talked bad about her, but they didn't talk about her behind her back, they actually said bad things about her out loud so she could hear what they were saying. Not only that, a large group of boys and girls tried beating her up. Mercy handled them pretty well on her own, though. She left them lying on the concrete crying in pain, begging for their mommy's. At home, it wasn't any different than it was at school. I mean, it was different, it was just the same but in a different way. Mercy was an only child, her mom was the only one who took care of her and she even told her everyday that she's special and that she'd would grow up to be someone amazing. Her dad on the other hand, is was a mean alcoholic who beat Mercy and her mom as well. One day, her dad made Mercy watch as he beat her mom almost to death, he made Mercy watch as he grabbed a knife and stabbed her in the stomach. Mercy was only ten at the time. Mercy was so angry and sad at the same time. She couldn't help but cry, she didn't know what to do, so she ran away. Mercy ran so far from home, that she became lost. Until, a muscular man in a white cloak came running towards her. She couldn't really see his face because he had his hood, which was attached to his cloak, over his head, which covered half of his face. Mercy was frightened, she started running away, but he was to fast for her, he got ahold of her with one arm, still running, scooping her up in both of his arms. Mercy struggled to get out of his grasp, but couldn't, she stayed in this mysterious mans arms as he ran off with her, no where to be found.

New town. New identity. Same crazy. I love it!!! (insert enthusiastic voice ) (cough, cough) Not!! I hate it. I hate having to to hide who I am. But to protect the civilians and my new home from being destroyed like my last ones, I have obey the leader's rule. No matter if I do disapprove. But all of that changes when I meet, more like bump into someone who's special. ... DOOR OPENS. "Naomi Satchel!" my mother yells as she comes blaring through the doors. "Yes?" I say as I still lie under the covers. My mother pulls my cover from my body and tosses it on the floor. I quickly sit up in my bed and glare at her. "Get your ass up now you have half an hour left before your first-period starts and you better not be late," she demands. "Mom, this isn't my school. This isn't my home. I don't want to go." I whine and beg my mother at the same time to let me stay home. What was I thinking? My mom has an image to uphold being this perfect mother who loves and cares about her little baby girl. We both know the truth. Until a few years ago, I never even knew she existed. She and my father both agreed to send me here because they couldn't stand the fact that I fell in love with a black boy. Although neither of them would ever admit, that's the only reason why I know of her. I don't want to attend a school where I'm going to have to forsake who I truly am just to fit into their liking. How can I explain that to my mom when she sees everything to be black and white.
