but, 17 year old Raven always dreamed of having powers.
her parents always told her that magic was just not possible or real.

Raven soon finds out that magic is possible
and that here whole generation was dedicated to their mystic powers.
Raven teams up with others from a new school she transfers to (which they all have magic too)
and have to go to battle with majestic creatures she never would've think of

I'm ordinary." ~*~*~ Imagine growing up in a world full of magic, being able to cast spells left and right, making your deepest desires come true. It sounds amazing, doesn't it? Like a fantasy, a dream come true. I hate to break it to you but that's unrealistic, untrue. The real world just isn't like that, for most people that is. There's the lucky few who are a part of that community, that live joyously in the magical realm, surrounded by magic every waking moment. That sounds fantastic, doesn't it? A living fairytale you could say. For most, yes. Then there's Luna. Luna, despite being involved in the magical realm, never belonged. She didn't have powers so was treated as an outcast, rejected by everyone including her own family. They shunned her and soon banished her from not just their home but the whole magical realm. Now she lives in the human world, going about her everyday life like an average person. She's left her previous life behind and that's just how she likes it. Unfortunately for her, you can't escape your past forever. No matter how much she protests, magic will always be a part of her life, hiding in the shadows, undetected but still there. All she wants to do is complete her final year of school without so many 'unusual' complications. As you're most likely aware, life never goes according to plan. Magic has always been a problem in her life and now it's back to haunt her. All that needs to be said is that she's not pleased. Can't the world just accept that she's ordinary? Shattered Crystal ( Target for Demise)
I crawled and sunk impossibly deeper into the couch behind me, biting my nails to hold back the scream of horror aching to burst through my chords. The terrifying and spine shivering sight of flesh being ripped to pieces, agonising screams of terror and the horrendous sight of blood splattering on the living room window escalated my heart beats to rhythms I never thought possible. Suddenly all was quiet, silent and dark. The light from the moon that peeked through the window became non-existent. The screams of terror and horror disappeared and at the window I felt the presence of the monster who was doing this. It turned a bit staring back at me with menacing yellow orbs penetrating to my soul as a silent warning that I would be next. Next in line following the demise of my very own...family. Crystal Cane, 17 year old senior in high school has had to live 12 years of her life after the incident with a new family, new home, new school and fortunately new friends. Still a little timid as she lives her life she has to be ready to see what fate has in store for her. Or what it seems to have against her .
