Trained to kill,Born to run, forever. Never being able to make her own decisions, stuck in a system of commands and orders.

"Why are you running away from me?" I taunt. He drags himself down the hallway leaving a bloody trail along the wall.

More mess for me to clean.

"Oi Rose, stop playing with your food." Cole says in a stern tone. I groan and proceed to walk over to the half dead man, the sound of the heels of my boots knocking against the hardwood floor. "p-p-p-please i-i-i-i d-don't want t-to" his now lifeless body slumps to the ground. I kneel down and look at his eyes, they look foggy. Empty.

"Well that was no fun" I whine. "Its not supposed to be" Cole says in his usual mono tone.

When a string of mysterious and violent deaths plague the small city of Spring Lakes, psychic consultant Julian Hart finds himself partnered with veteran detective Dane Hunter. As the mismatched pair dig deeper into the mystery, getting along with one another seems harder than catching a killer; but when Julian is marked as the killer's next target, solving the murders becomes a dicey game of "do or die." - Warnings: Contains strong language and explicit sexual content. - This is a work of fiction.
