There were mice moving around my feet, but I had to muff my scream. The small casket where I was hiding had now started to get suffocating. Through the small keyhole I could see the men taking these girls away promising them huge dreams of better life. Better life? This "better life" cost me my purity. Yodhodara belongs to the lowest caste in the Vedic Era. She is a Shudra, She is untouchable, She is regarded as bad luck. Even if someone crossed near her shadow they would go wash themselves thirteen times. This was her life. People say this was the cause of her previous life's karma and she has to suffer and live with it. But thats the thing, she's not ready to take whatever is being served in her plate. She's been stubborn and a fighter since birth. And she just can't understand why the upper class doesn't let the Shudras thrive even a little. And most importantly what does the sun birthmark at the back of her spine mean? She's here not to serve, she's here to make them pay. If you guys life historic and all the badass fighter stuff then go for it. I promise I won't disappoint you. The timeline of this story is around 300BC where India was under the evils of the caste system. And still in the 21st century this evil has not been completely eradicated from people's mind. After a fierce battle, he claimed my kingdom-and my fate. I am bound by duty to my people, but it is a duty that demands the greatest sacrifice. To save my kingdom, I must marry the man who conquered it. One bound by the crown, the other by my heart. When the king of Suryagarh attacked our kingdom, he did not just conquer our lands-he shattered countless lives. Thousands of widows, children left without fathers, and girls who were only beginning to understand the world. The loss was beyond words. And yet, to save them, I had no choice but to throw myself into the flames of my own sacrifice. I sent the king a marriage proposal through my father. My father was always against it and he must have hidden the truth about me from him. I don't know what he said, but I couldn't back down. I couldn't let my people suffer more. They needed me. Sitting before the holy fire, ready to take vows with my husband, not as a wife but as a mistress, I was shedding silent tears beneath my veil-not because of the sacrifice but because of the price I will pay for it. It all began with his words: "I always loved you. It was always you, never someone else." But the reality was different: "So you were always a manwhore?" "Yes, and you are my whore." And it ends with: "You promised to stay with me during this time. I am still waiting for you. Please... do not let me down." This is a story of a time when women were nothing but objects to be used and discarded, tied down to the bed by the chains of society and sweet taste. But the queen made sure none of them were deprived of their rights. Her legacy was one of hope, as she become the first queen to free courtesans from the shackles of slavery, granting them the freedom they deserve. She married the powerful king of Hind to save her kingdom, but in doing so, she never expected he would become the very reason to turn her life upside down. Mature content included!
