Overheard

Harley's brother whose brother killed himself when she was about 9 years old. She was the one that found him. Now 16 years old, she, of course, moved on, but her heart still hurts for her brother. Her mother began to be more involved with her daughter's life (almost too involved) and her father moved on slowly as well. Right after her brother committed suicide, her mother's then-pregnant best friend moved in next door with her husband to help out. One day, when the best friend's child, Elizabeth, is seven years old, Harley's father left his family, no warning whatsoever. He leaves her a very cryptic note saying he loves her, but left nothing for her mom. Harley's mother crumples, unable to deal with the uncontrollable loss of her son and the loss of her husband. One day, Harley is babysitting the 6 Elizabeth, and Beth says something interesting about a phone call she overheard that his mom (her mother's best friend) had with a stranger, relating to her brother's suicide. This leads her to go on a chase to find who did it. Information is uncovered, and it becomes evident that her brother's unexpected suicide might not have been as random as it seemed...
