This is not the Earth you are used to. Imagine our sweet home hundreds of years in the future...except that it isn't  sweet anymore. 

The world you used to know no longer exists. Due to a shortage on resources,  almost every army in the world mobilized to clash over what was left in a grand war known as World War 3, or "The End War."

It was recognized as such because the war was so disastrous, that most of the known land was changed and deformed.  

Now most of civilization had to pack together and fight a new threat that was born due to their carelessness.  

Due to toxins and chemicals that mixed into the air, most of humanity either died off or mutated. But the effects didn't only affect them. The wild life was also affected and gave birth to monstrous creatures that then became the enemy of humanity. Backed into a corner, humanity's last hope resided in beings rejected as monsters since times of old.

Everyone else out there, bathing in the goodness they don't know they've got, they don't know about the roaches their stepping on. As long as their getting closer to the sky, they don't care what they stand on to reach it. They don't know about the sparkling dreamer that's killed 7 people before her 17th birthday. They don't about the ghost of a girl peaking around corners for her entire life because even home wasn't safe. They don't know about the fighter of steel and iron sucking on his bloody lip courtesy of the wars he battles in as nothing but a shadow. They don't know about the masked villain who would do anything to see the army they lead claim the throne They don't know about us. But they will, because we will rise. Content Warning-This story is meant for mature audiences. It features adult language, references, situations, sexual content, graphic violence, and gore. Fantasy, horror, and science fiction are my favorite genres to read. They are also my favorite to write. I've enjoyed writing since I won my first writing contest in the fourth grade. That was over twenty-five years ago and I haven't shared a sinlge word of it. Imposter syndrome is a bitch! Well, I finally managed to pull the trigger. Here is "O Negative". It's a mix of all of my favorite genres. I've mixed a fantasy, based on present-day Earth, with plenty of graphic horror and wrapped it all up within a world driven by the technological advancements that only can be obtained from millions of years of civilation. A small group of strangers find themselves surviving in a decimated world. It's bad enough to be stranded in a no-name town, but things become surreal when you realize the vast majority of humanity has died...it becomes terrifying when you realize you aren't that lucky to be alive. "Survivor's Guilt" isn't a thing when you find yourself the sole food source for an entire group of beings that no longer need to hide in the shadows. Man is no longer at the top of the food chain...they are now the cattle.

The aliens pity these "little creatures"-they just don't want to leave their home, but Earth is falling apart at the seams, and they are determined to take the stubborn little humans to the safety of one of the mother planets. No matter the cost. Not only was Jude taken by the Scrappers, but he was also the first one to survive them and now they want him back. With the Scrappers still hunting them, Morgan and Jude travel east in hopes to find more humans. As their group slowly grows, Jude hides the secret about his arm but when one of their group betrays them, he's found out. When they leave Jude behind for the Scrappers to find, Morgan surrenders herself over with him, even when it may cost her her life. As final a battle rages around them between humans and Scrappers, Jude and Morgan may be the key to ending it all.

That is until she crosses paths with Nate and his daughter, Emmi. Emmi is not and cannot be vaccinated against the disease, so the only way to protect her and give her some kind of life is to reunite her with her estranged mother in a quarantine zone on the other side of the country. Charlotte wants nothing to do with Nate or the girl who looks like her dead sister. She does not want to go through the grief of losing people again if something bad was to happen. And something bad does happen when Emmi is kidnapped, and it is no one's fault but Charlotte's. Through this obligation alone, Charlotte feels like it is her responsibility to get Emmi back, to right her wrong. In helping Nate pursue his kidnapped daughter, Charlotte inadvertently allows herself to feel again, to care for those other than herself. But with the clock ticking, Charlotte's new found family may just end up like her own, dead and destroyed, if Emmi is exposed to the disease that her father tried so hard to protect her from.
