The Story is set in England in 1917... Twelve year old Marion Blount who has never found it easy to make friends. She has a sharp tongue and quick temper but these are just Marion's well learned defences against the goading and taunts she gets at school. Marion can make a horse leap a high fence and climb the tallest of trees but in 1917 these are not the accomplishments a young lady should be proud of as her peers and her mother continually remind her. One afternoon when Marion is out riding she comes across a scruffy and most peculiar woman, wearing trousers of all things. 'Trousers' already knows an awful lot about Marion, in fact a little too much for Marion's liking. Trousers wants to find out if Marion has the 'Knack' - a magical gift - like her ancestors had. She gives Marion the pair of magical rods and the challenge of seeing what she can so with them. But Marion has far more 'Knack' than Trousers anticipates and Marion and her friends very soon find themselves caught up in a dragon uprising and must do al they can to prevent the first dreadful act of destruction the rebel dragons are planning... On the World War 1 battlefields of France and Belgium it is not just soldiers dying. The Armageddon of a world war is unknowingly wiping out huge numbers of dragons that have lived secretly below ground for thousands of years. As a result England is being flooded with dragons fleeing the battlefield carnage. But with the dragon refugees comes talk of dragons returning to the Above, making war on humans and taking back their lands. A new dragon uprising is coming...

'Profs and Prophecy' is two tales intertwined, following the dual stories of the Vice Chancellor of FrogBottom University and first-year student Priti YoungEarl. Both are completely unaware of the other's existence or intentions, but their paths are inextricably linked. Over FrogBottom's five-century existence, it has been the premiere destination for students interested in Witchcraft and Sorcery. The Vice Chancellor of this mystical University is completely evil, and unrepentantly so. However, whereas others in his lofty position might rely on the use of magic to achieve their despicable goals, the Vice Chancellor is more apt to release his brutal and scathing sarcasm to reduce his opponents to quivering jelly. The Vice Chancellor is using the University to eradicate the Art of Witchcraft, leaving sorcerers to dominate forever. He is aided in this goal by a prophecy, foreseeing that a sorcery student will arrive and ensure victory for their kind. When the student never gets off the train the Vice Chancellor pulls out all the stops in his attempt to locate the truant student. Priti no sooner comes to grips with the fact that she is actually attending classes in witchcraft, than she suddenly finds out her classes are not teaching any witchcraft at all. On top of this, she and her sister witches are the only ones who have figured out that the prophecy refers to Priti, not a sorcery student at all! The conspiracy against witches revealed, Priti sets out to right all wrongs, hampered only slightly by the Vice Chancellor's repeated attempts to murder her. In 'Profs and Prophecy' there is no easy way out for Priti. No handsome prince will arrive to save her at the last minute. No mysterious magical force will destroy the bad guy just because he's evil, leaving her unscathed just because she's not. Luck just doesn't work that way for Priti!

"Levy," Erza asks, "Do you still happen to have that book?" Levy stills for a moment, thinking. "Actually, I might!" She moves the giant book from her lap-not without some struggle- and jumps up from her previous seat on the couch next to Juvia. The other girls waited excitedly, chattering about random happenings around town. The sudden rise in visiting relatives, for instance. It seems that the sudden increase in jobs is a direct result of this strange occasion. "Lu, Juvia, Erza come quick!" Levy shouted urgently. The useless chatter instantly ceased as all three girls rushed in the direction the petite bookworm went, the attic. "Levy?! What is it?! What's wrong?!" Erza beat the other two into the musty room and instantly a very audible gasp came from her tall frame. After a great deal of struggle Juvia and Lucy managed to push the redhead aside so they could squeeze into the room. When they finally made it neither of them could believe their eyes. The whole dusty attic was bathed in a bright, magical light. It seemed to swallow everything whole as the girls stood there in shock. Erza was the first to snap out of her shock. "Levy, what is going on? What is causing this?" "It's the book, Erza, the book of fairytales! Something's wrong! They're missing-" Levy tried to warn them but the book started producing winds near the speed of a hurricane, drowning out her words. Papers and random clutter flew around the room in a whirlwind of debris. "Levy! Girls, we have to get out of here, fast!" Erza shouted over the wind. But before they could run the light grew to blinding levels and the girls' visions went black. ~~~<•>~~~ *Trigger Warning* - Mental and physical abuse. *DISCLAIMER* I do not own Fairy Tail or the cover shown above. (DISCLOSURE: this story is half SoarinDash, half additional plot stuff, which is usually what I do, so enjoy!) Canterlot High thought it would be free after their hectic Friendship Games and their terrifying time at Camp Everfree, and it really did seem like it at the time. For once, Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle, Sunset Shimmer, Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie thought their junior year would just be school. But things get a little crazy. Again. And it's not all about magic this time. Everyone hoped that Cadence would take over Crystal Prep's principal position, but Cadence never took the role. She got another offer abroad and decided to take it. And the students of Crystal Prep and Canterlot High will face the wrath of Principal Dolores Cinch -- the sister of Principal Abacus Cinch. She wants a rematch of the Friendship Games, with a few "minor" adjustments to the intensity. Dolores Cinch is up to no good. And Canterlot is in for some turbulence. But what's worse? Cinch has her eyes on a certain rainbow-haired girl as the trigger to her plan, whatever it may be. ALSO SOARINDASH!!! This is also a SoarinDash fanfic, haha!
