Cracked Petals

Riya's life hasn't been as perfect as she leads on. She has secrets. Secrets that are a pain for her to keep.

Riya realizes Senior year shouldn't have to be about keeping secrets it should be about singing off key and taking your final bow on stage. But the promise of college in a few months is the only thing fueling Riya to keep those secrets. If everyone knew what she was currently hiding her cracks would begin to show, and unwanted sympathy would start to pour out.

However defying all odds, she starts to let someone in an equivalent equation to her own. Unsolvable and confusing. A friend who doesn't mind accepting you in pieces rather than as a whole.

Riya's unexpected friendship challenges her to think about her situation, dares her to unravel her falsehood, uncover the cracks, and for once start picking her own petals.
